March 2014 – It’s March!!

74It’s March and if you’re anything like me, you’re hoping the old saying, “March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb,” will be true this year.

Although the focus for this Spring season will be the same as every Spring season – renewal and rebirth – we’ll be required to bring forth a new way of being by boldly taking an honest assessment of ourselves and stripping away what is no longer viable to us and our aspirations for the future.

So, as we prepare to welcome the Lamb of Spring weather into our lives, we must ask ourselves what and who we want and need in our lives as well as what and who we don’t need. Since this is a ‘7’ Universal year-the year of finding and following our own truth-this is not only a request from the Universe, it’s a requirement. Let us be inspired by Paulo Coelho’s advice: “Close some doors. Not because of pride, incapacity or arrogance, but simply because they no longer lead somewhere.”

Although the task of closing those now useless doors may seem daunting, we’re not alone in performing it; the Universe is committed to helping us by creating situations that bring us face-to-face with our strength and power. All we have to do is acknowledge and accept it. As we do so, help and other wonderful surprises will come from the most unexpected  people and places.

February 2014 – Happy Hearts Day – Happy February!

48February brings a lot to the table-Chinese New Year, Groundhog Day, Valentine’s day and, of course, President’s Day. It also seems to be the month with the most dramatic and traumatic weather of the winter season. For us in most of the Northern hemisphere-baby it’s cold outside!

The three Tarot cards that represent the energy of this month are The Fool-the harbinger of unexpected, unique and exciting opportunities, The Tower-the dismantler of old, unnecessary structures, habits and beliefs and The Star-the light in the darkness that is often referred to as hope.

The gift of this month, as shown by its Tarot card representatives, is spontaneous creativity. You’re receiving information, inspiration and encouraging, positive impulses to try new things, be more adventurous and take more initiative in allowing yourself to favorably interact with the people, places and events that are presenting themselves to you at this time.

If it seems like a good idea at the time and isn’t harmful, destructive or negative-go for it! You can only win because, no matter what the outcome, you’ll learn and grow in the process.
